Crusing in the Passing Lane Joined: Jun 2011 Posts: 5,096 | If gasket seal is used on both parts, real tough to remove in future, Seal on most uneven surface(usually tin) clean up first, remove dents and scratches, and leave cast surface alone, will seal well, allow for easy removal in future. Silicone or Aviation gasket work well.
