I am wondering if the parking brake on my '48 Loadmaster is installed incorrectly. The brake cable clevis's are connected to the
upper mount of the cross shaft lever. The brake rod clevis is connected to the
bottom mount of the cross shaft. It seems to me if I move the brake cables to the bottom, and the brake rod to the top then I will get more pull out of the brake cables.
I currently have no more adjustment on the
passanger brake cable clevis. I have rebuilt the entire brake system and the brakes work great, however I currently would not trust the parking brake on a hill.
