Thanks Bread, I did six miles driving around the yard this weekend checking my cooling system and other things, with the temp in the high 80's I topped out at 190 degrees when left idling on the drive.

Thinking of what's next glass and interior would help!

cheers Paul

Still messing with some designs Drew had one suggestion of using the jaguar leaper on either side of the bed but it might be a bit to much over the top

Actually, I think that would be cool depending on the image size.
Sure would be an eye catcher and express your skill with JAGS.
I've only seen one other Jag engine used that way in a coupe,
so I think it's fair to "boast". smile

I hope the trans problem isn't terminal Paul,I'm not sure if the Jag TH400 is the same as all the other GM ones but if it is,at least you're in a place where a replacement should be easily found.
I hope it doesn't come to that though....

Its a GM unit in a different case not the end of the world if it has to come out everything is designed to be disassembled but I hope it will not come to that

I did a bit more fiddling around with my trans I can get 1st and 2nd if I manually shift its hard to tell if its shifting into top gear on the axle stands as my home made drive shaft is out of wack and shakes the truck at high revs, time to get one made I think.
I wired in some side marker lights and mounted my fuel tank selector switch ran my engine up to 4500 revs for the first time everything ok so far

I got my Air Intakes fitted this weekend, pics in the album also had to load up the turn signal circuit LED lights = no load on the flasher unit so I rigged up a couple of 10 watt resistors on the left and right turn circuits now it flashes at a steady rate still fooling around with the transmission issues.

They look good! Fit the whole concept of your truck design. I looked in past pics but didn't see a center engine cover that would conceal the ignition pieces/parts. I'm assuming there is one. Yes/no?

That area is called the vally and its hotter than hell there when the engine is running that's why the fuel injection harness cooked along with anything else in that area.
The last V12's off the production line were the 6.0 liter units with revised ignition and fuel injection systems they had a cover over that area if my memory serves me well I have gone back and forth with the idea of fitting one would make a cool feature that I could dress up the engine.

Nice video. I really like your headlight system. I have never seen that used on any modified vehicle. A very good idea I think.

Those type of headlight are getting more and more common on hot rods up here. The LED signals in the headlight are great, they make it impossible to miss. My signals are in the bottom of the headlight, but still LED.

The truck is coming right along!

I used LED's all around bright, clean and relatively simple to wire up, even with an electronic flasher unit there was still not enough load to get a decent flash rate so I loaded up the circuits with some 10 watts resistors.
I wanted to use running lights which I wired on a time delay relay and I came up with the flip flop circuit for the turn signals everything is housed in the panel above the radiator.

That's strange, I have LED's all around and the LED flasher works great. Since LED flashers are timed and don't work off of load, it doesn't sound like the flashers you had were made for LED's.

I bought off e bay as an electronic flasher for LED lights, it is made in China!!!! so I guess its must be the old bi metal strip type all I know is loading up the circuit slowed the flash rate down so it worked out in the end.

Yeah, then it wasn't an LED flasher. My LED flashers were $20 a piece and need to be grounded, but they work great.

When I get some time I will figure out a hazard warning lights circuit with the Jaguar reputation for reliability I might need them flashing lights, but so far its the TH400 giving me problems.

I used a GM column and a painless harness so my hazard lights wiring were simple. Can't help too much on how to do it otherwise.

Not to much damage hood, firewall r side and r top of fender. I'm almost back now, just got to get the hood shot. Glass is going in next week. 292 runs good, alittle over heat problem to work out. I like your lights. I did leds in my oem gages and turn sig. Had the same problem. never thought about the resistors, good call. Good luck on the trans. Steve

I was fortunate to have all the original glass on my '50 3100 to use as templates, but did have to have the rear glass buffed down just a little for a better, less stressed fit. He repackaged all my old glass in case I needed a replacement later.(Hope not. eek)

Are you going to a one piece windshield or the original two piece?

Good question. For nostalgia, crank handle. Maybe better sealing,
fixed.

With the crank-out windshield you will forever be chasing wind noises and/or water leaks. I v-butted my windshield, for that reason. The crank out windshield is neat from a nostalgia point of view, but as I wanted a reliable hot rod I didn't need the hassle.

Nice. Any rotation to the left or is it located just right for your height?

A question: In the forum entry just above yours a fellow asked about a panhard bar on his suburban. I just provided a link. Being the Jag guy you are, does your truck utilize one?

No rotation on the tach it more a center piece than anything else looks really cool when illuminated, and I have a jaguar rear fully independent rear (IRS)no panhard bar needed.
