My son found a 1950's GMC 3/4 ton truck in the woods in Idaho, and said he could have it for free.
There was a radio on the floor boards that he wants me to fix.
I'm looking for a schematic and or wiring for this radio.
Information on radio as follows---P-5106, D-5107, C-5109, C-5110, C-5111, and C-5112, there was a part number 78-0209, push button type tuning.
It has a vibrator power supply driving a 6X4 rectifier
The RF section has the following tube set, 6BA6, 6BE6, 6BA6, 6AV6 with 6AQ5 drivers. Regards Bubbles

GM radios were Delco. Philco radios were Ford.
You might be able to find a schematic in some old Sams Folders.

Yes, this a Philco (MOPAR stamped in metal) radio according to the tags. Why this radio was tranplanted into this truck is a different question. It appears to be intact and worth trying to get working again. Still trying to locate schematics though. I have looked at Philco Phorum and have found no reference to the model or chassis informtion.

Thanks, Bubbles

That radio has to be later 50's isn't it? Old Philco radios used tubes called locktiles (sp). The tubes you list except for the 6X4 are smaller tubes than regular octal tubes.

Checked the Sam's Photofact Index thru 1974, none of those numbers come up under Philco. Should be a model number on it somewhere and a chassis number also.

I'm thinking it might be more of an aftermarket radio?

I check in some of my old PHILCO SERVICE manuals This is for a 1951. P5106 is a Mopar 812 ,D5107 is Mopar 813 ,C5109 is a Mopar 815,C5110 is a Mopar 816 C5111 is a Mopar 817,and C5112 is a Mopar 818
They are OME for Plymouth,Dodge and Chrsyler, apparently the first two numbers are the year, I have worked on dozen of these and never knew this ,learn something new !
If you can get me a picture I can ID it for you

Sam's Photofact 139, all those numbers are under the same folder. Apparently must be the same chassis layout.
