Was a little disappointed it was half size of spring meet but maybe more came in as day went along. Reason for my trip was to look for some parts for a 46 Dodge i have and visit A yard I had been told about called Barkley&Sons . Address is 709 CR 2395 which is about ten miles north of Decatur off 287 once off highway go about a mile or two and turn left at the intersection with church sign. Keep going another couple mile and you will see cars etc on the right side. Phone number is 940-427-9611
Barkley' s is true "junk" yard as they have been stashing things in the woods for years with no regard to not damaging them. They have a few 50's trucks but majority of it is 60-80 s vintage. Lots of Chevy & fords cabs doors beds but all tailgates are gone. Also at least a dozen station wagons including a 1959 chevrolet that I was drooling over. If anyone in a Pacer fanatic they have a have dozen with good glass, etc. couple dozen vw as well. Sorry i did not take any pics.
Reason I am putting this up is we all have buddies or ourselves that are doing
Projects of all types and looking for parts. I have no idea how reasonable they are as I did not find what I was looking for. I did get a few more leads on "old yards" which I will visit and report on them once I find them.
