1953 Chevy 3100 with 1959 235 engine. Anyway broke down last night, no fuel. Got a new pump today from Jim Carter and installed it. Back on the road. Rocker arm pivot pin on old pump had worked its way out one side, putting it in a bind or something. Lucky to live in Kansas City: Jim Carter, Classic Parts, and LMC all close by. Towed it home with a Toyota though.

NAPA or any other flaps can supply a fuel pump for your 235

Don , I read he already got a new one at JC and explains about what was wrong with old one. There is no question here.

I think the point Don was making Bart, was that if someone is on
the road broke down with a fuel pump failure, you could also
readily acquire one at a NAPA store or your FLAPS.

I had an oil leak on my 216 and traced it to the pivot pin on the fuel pump. It had slid partly out and allowed oil to drip out the hole on the other side. Besides tools, a fuel pump is one of the spare parts I keep in the truck.

I have had several fuel pumps do that. I now have one where the pivot is not exposed.
