Hey all-
I've been lurking and learning here for a year while chasing the right project. Found it! Now the proud owner of a "'50" five window 3100. However......thanks to your extensive links n lists, I tracked the numbers and specs and now know its actually a 1951, even if the title says otherwise!
No bother as it is solid, original 216 , 3 spd , torque tube driveline, and complete.....but disassembled in about 300 pieces.
Any NH bolters out there able to help ID some parts? I have some interesting things in totes that I just can't imagine where they go. As time permits I'll set up a photo stop somewhere to play name that part.
First things first- I need to go build a barn to work in.

Welcome to the Stovebolt Page mhg. You'll find lots of knowledge and great guys here willing to help. I'm sure there are quite a few bolters in your area. Just watch the post and you'll find them....unless they find you first!!!

One piece of advice I may add. To get the maximum response and answers to your questions be sure to post the questions in the most appropriate forum...like, ask engine questions in the Engine Forum and Driveline in the Driveline forum.

Good luck and we are here to help.....and post us up a pic when you can.

Hey NH - welcome! I'm over the line in Mass - owned a 56 3100 before it got whacked - now have a 55.5 Panel. The other guys are right - there's a WEALTH of knowledge here with everyone willing to help. If you're wanting to build a daily driver that's not quite original or a trailer queen - there's no judgement made - mostly smile There are other Bolters in the area. BTW - put Aug 18th on your calendar for the Barrington, NH Truck Show.... I've heard that a few guys from the area will be attending. Sing out if you need anything or email me directly Larry@FernsCountryStore.com
Good luck!

Welcome to the site, I'm sure you'll enjoy it here and learn stuff too. If you weren't so far away, I could help with the barn, that's been my occupation for the last 39 years. Glad to see you found a project. Best of luck with it.

I copied the link and it did work. Looks like a pretty nice truck your working on....and a five window. Be patient and work on it at least 15 minutes EVERYDAY. Go to car cruise-in's to stay motivated. your on your way to one nice ride. Good luck and keep the pictures coming.

*** be sure to write a story about your truck and post it in the DIY Forum, or send it to Peggy, along with a picture and a phone number, in case she needs to call you, and a nice Gallery entry will be put in the Gallery.

I joined last summer...in my last post I said I needed a place to work and finally it is done:
The new workshop
And here is the old bolt in its new home patiently waiting my attentions:
old bolt at home

I've spent the long cold snowy winter doing lots of research - probably read 100 posts, and have come up with a plan. More on that later. Right now I'm emptying the bed and totes full of parts, inventorying, and putting things away. (And buying more tools, shhh)
This site is a godsend for a newbie like me. Look for my many questions in the forums as I roll up my sleeves...
Thanks in advance.
Marc

Man the truck looks like a little toy truck in there! That is a very nice building. Congratulations on your accomplishment with that new building.
