Plans are to replace wood & fenders. What troubles are ahead for me ????

(not sure about the end date) stepside bed on it. It fits for the most pary, other than the step. It doesnt line up with the running boards and just looks plane goofy. I'm sure it would look better with the correct year fenders, and fixing where that step is... but I'm not sure it would look right still. bed/step
