My buddy has just purchased a 53 Chevy Suburban & there are no seats in it. I just spoke to someone that has a full set of 1955 secant series GMC Suburban seats. Does anyone know if 1955 seats are the as 53 Chevy?
What is the range of years GM kept the same seat mounting & seat length in suburbans?

each series of models changed, 41-47.1, 47.2-55.1, 55.2-59, 60-66 .... might be able to make some fit others, but the mountings will differ

Thank you for the info Bill! I'm sorry to hear that the set of 1955 2 won't be correct for my friends 1953. Knowing Don, he won't modify to fit, he's too much of a puerest.
thanks again for the info.

55-59 will fit perfectly In it,the difference is in how the lower curves looks in the lower back rest. I'll send you photos if you need them !!

BowtieTim; Are the floor mount brackets on the 55/59 seats the same & are they in the same spots as 1953? If they will mount correctly, that will seal the deal for us.
