So I pulled the windows out of the suburban, hoping to clean everything up and ready for paint and wham lots of rot. I found a local guy in Pittsburgh who made me patch panels. Really nice work. Check out the photos.

Sir, What did that cost? Why? I am paying a restorer $45/hr and I have the same exact lower interior window issues you have. Perhaps your guy could make some identical patches for mine. But I need to know what it would cost, whether he would even want to, or whether he had time. I will next see the progress of my burb on 23 Jun and could you possibly know something by then? I paid $400 for a pair with the trays also. He does a ton of work on Model A's. His is extremely busy but did these for me in about a week. Here is Facebook page. He goes by the name Flop on the Jalopyjournal and you can check out some of his work on there too.

That's a nice replacement piece.
Just a comment: the slotted holes are drain holes to the drain tubes.

Sir, Could I please have the phone number of the metal worker that did your replacement panels for your suburban window sills? Why? I don't do facebook nor Jalopyjournal. I'm old school and a name and a phone number works for me. Thsnks Trod. V/R, Nick Cavallaro, Bel Air, MD

Very nice. Thankfully my shelfs are solid with only minor pitting.

Sir, Can I please have the metal fabricator's phone number or e-mail that operates out of Pittsburgh that made your interior suburban bottom window sills ? Why? I would like to see if he is interested in making four (4) sills for my 1952 Chevrolet Suburban. Thanks Trod. V/R, Nick Cavallaro, Bel Air, MD

Sir, No worries, it's all good; I shall contact Flob Custom and inquire about a price on four (4) sills knowing you paid $400.00 each for your sill(s). Right? Please advise. Thanks Trod. V/R, Nick

I paid $400 for the front two sills. I did not have him make me the back ones. BTW I told him I would be sharing his information with others who might be interested.

Sir, On 4 Aug I will next see my '52 'burb which is undergoing metalwork restoration and decide whether four (4) new sills are, in fact, needed. Why? My restorer needs to see the molding pieces to advise whether enough "meat is left on the bone" whereby the molding may hide the rusted out sill areas.
My inclination tells me we are going to need fabricated bottom sills on all four (4) windows, though. Subsequently, I will be contacting Flob Custom. Thanks Trod. Hope to meet up with you sometime. I plan to be at the Winchester, VA truck show on 28 Sep. V/R, Nick
