I purchased one from the Truck Shop # 1-47-09001 listed as 1/2 ton bar. Laid it out under the truck and all looked well. The brackets fit holes under the front crossmember and the link brackets fit on the bottom of the front axel u-bolts. No modification required.The links fit vertically on the back of the bar and the brackets on the axle. When I get on the search site and find out how to upload pics., I will do that. Everyhting looks good and no clearance issues with the 1/2 ton kit.

Do they make them for 55 up to 59?

I ordered one from bowtiebits yesterday to put on my 49' 3/4 ton. If it fits my 49' i think it would fit your 53' will post as it goes.
