Finally got some good tires on the back of my truck ('65 C-30) today. dance They are Treadwright Crawler MT 235/85R16 remolds on some 80's GM 3/4 ton wheels. They cost me $263 to my door, for the pair. So far I'm liking them. Not real loud (I can't hear them over the wind @ 55, anyway), should do real good offroad, and being nice, new, soft rubber, they seemed to grip the road well when I got on the brakes. The dried out old bias 7.50-17's didn't do that too well, ha ha. They measure 32" tall, and at 60PSI I got 645 revolutions per mile. The 7.50-17's were 33-1/2" and about 615 for comparison.

Make sure you keep an eye on those for tread cap separations. I had a customer bring a set of tires from Treadwright once, one lost the tread cap in less than 1 mile of driving, and the other 3 were starting to go when he got back to the shop.

Yeah, I'm going to keep an eye on them, but so far so good. A lot of the 4x4 guys are using them and seem to have great luck for the most part.

After the ones that were on there I'm not too scared of these! picture of failing tire

As a note, I tried them in mud today, didn't go crazy, but was impressed with them. Shouldn't have any trouble going offroad as long as I don't try to drive through a mud lolly or something stupid.
