Grounded bed to frame and grounded each LED light to the mounting screw of each tail light housing and still no tail lights, signals, or blinkers.
Checked all the grounds up front, tested alternator, volt reg, battery. Still not charging battery when running. Driving me crazy since it was running fine then just died. Any suggestions before it gets towed to a shop?

#94846 02/27/2006 10:42 PM | Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 586 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 586 | Hey Patrick,Check your fusible links at the starter or juntion block.There should be two.An easy way to do this is to take your test light and check all your fuses for power on each side of the fuse.If you have no power on BOTH sides of SOME fuses,you have a bad fusible link.You will have to pull on each fusible link to see which one is bad.If it stretches like a rubber band,it is bad.The link burns inside but the insulation is fire proof.The fusible link gauge is marked on the plastic link termination.It should be 14 gauge.Hope this helps!

My 61 had a similar problem. I had not rt blinker and no lt brake light. I took the tailight assembly apart, I put new grounding screws for the tailights, I sanded all the contact points shiney, and i fixed some bad wiring under the bed. Anyway, what made the difference was the clean contact points, after that it all worked like a charm, I didn't even have to add any ground wires. Good luck buddy.
