My truck was used by the navy and very thing is Blue very thing !! were most grills painted or chrome and the trim down the hood ?? wanting mostly Original look.

In 1952 there was no chrome grill/bumper/trim - Korean Conflict required special metals.

In no 47-55 year was there a chrome strip down the middle of a hood.

A chrome grille, & chrome hood strip was not an option on '47-'53 1 1/2, & 2 ton Chevrolet Commercial trucks. A chrome grille was available on all '47-'53 GMC Commercial trucks.

My '52 2 ton is all green. I'm going to paint the grille Argent Silver to break up the mono tone look but not try to look like chrome.
