I was wondering if there is a source for some replacement seat back spring in the Dallas area? Or is there some other place else? I need a couple of springs to replace broken ones. On another note if some one needs any for the seat bottom I have an extra bottom cushion that needs a home that I have used for a parts.
Thanks for any help

If you're referring to the sine wave shaped spring material you should be able to get it at an upholstery shop.

Good afternoon
It uses a coil spring in the back and bottoms. Someone had put some of the bottom springs in the back and it felt like a brick in your back. I was hoping that there was a source for the soft spring that are in the back cushion. Thanks for all of the help.

I would still contact a good upholstery shop. It's their job after all.

Thanks again for the info. I have not found anybody local yet. I spoke with Snyders, not sure if that is right. I spoke with Jim Carter parts and they gave me the phone number to try. They make springs for seats and said they had them for $3 each. I have to get the length for them and get some ordered. I will pass on what I find out.

Ed,
How have you been? Long time no hear. I just had my seats redone. The upholster had some springs on hand that was left overs from a previous job and was able to use them. I was told that the bottom of the seat was busted up pretty good. That is why there is all that wood. It sits about an inch higher then it should. Heck, I don't even know if they are the right ones for the truck but they fit. Here are a few pics of them before and after.

How about that gas tank? I finally pick me up one. I had called Ricks Tanks from El Paso to see if they could do me one up. To my surprise, he is also working on a '39. The gentlemen put one together and I didn't have to move the rear cross member. I'll send pics later.

Great to hear from you. Installed a universal tank from Tanks! It did fit and did not require modifications to anything.Ordered some springs from Snyder's yesterday. They make the springs and at $3 each I think that is fair price. I think your seat looks great. I get the seat done it will be time to see if all of the parts play good together and go down the road.
Take care
Ed
