My new MC has a bleeder screw on the side. Installed and pumped several times and no pressure, help please.

Open up the back wheel cylinders and run tubes into containers of brake fluid and keep pumping until bubbles are gone.Close them up .Repeat on the front wheel cylinders .It always worked for me.

MC Bleed


Try this.....
pull the brake lines off, run a small tube around and back in the fluid, SLOWLY pump the pedal till no more air bubbles are seen. This takes care of the MC, ya still gotta check the wheel cylinders.

I just replaced the master cylinder on my '38. I didn't bench bleed it but it wasn't much of a chore doing it the "normal" way. I've read that a master cylinder will self bleed and that was my experience. We did a standard bleed until we got no more air from the fittings. I had good pedal but by the time I got home after driving home through town I ended up with the best pedal I've ever had on the car. Rock solid with only 1-2" of travel to full lock up.
