I'm at a loss on this one. What appears to be oil is leaking from the steering column, in the interior, about half way up the column. I'm trying to get some photos posted.

Any ideas?

don't see any oil, but I see a big hole [in this picture] that should NOT be there .... only place oil could be coming from up there is if someone poured oil into the upper mast bearing, like maybe it was grinding and acting dry - meaning it needs to be replaced, it should not be lubricated - and the signal wires should have a little cover over that squarish exit held on with one screw

Are you sure the oil gauge or line is not dripping down on the column?

Thanks for both the replies. I'm at a loss to what is going on a d where the oil is coming from. I just checked the oil pressure gauge again and it's dry. Ram the truck and nothing coming out of the gauge. I will take some better photos in the morning and post them up.

Might be a good idea to check the steering box and see if its overfilled, see if its got grease in it or maybe someone put oil in it? You could also pull the steering wheel and see of someone over did it and put lots of oil or grease in from the top? Couple ideas.....
