Does someone know if anyone makes a replacement plate for the GVW plate that is riveted to the driver's side kick panel inside the cab? This is the one that lists the GVW, and different HP for the different engines. It is NOT the serial number.

Thanks,

Tom

Tom I have yet to see them offered aftermarket. ohwell

The PO painted over mine. I was unsuccesfull in removing only the new paint and ended up removing the factory blue paint also.

I have seen reproductions. They look good. I'm not sure if this guy can hook you up with one or not. Check this link.

Jay,

That link was unbelievable! The detail and craftsmanship of his rebuild is just great. I'll see if he's still around and hit him up about the GVW plate.

Thanks,
Tom

Tom,
John does exceptional work. I message him frequently. He's here in SC and someday I hope to pay him a visit. He knows how to make a resto look great.
He has a great thread showing how to restore a 64-65-66 instrument cluster. I followed his methods and mine turned out great.
He's made a real nice reputation for himself.
