Hey everyone, does anyone know what happened to GE Antique Creations?

GE Antique Creation did restorations and fabrications parts. I was told they fab a nice replacement for the second and third row seats for our burbs

I called them but the number is no longer in service.

This company has been mentioned at least twice in the last year. Phoenician71 reported he bought fabricated seats from them "many years ago". No one has reported any recent information on that company.

You are correct, So I called them today only to realize that their number has been disconnected not sure what's going on but I would really like to have a center seat for my 48 suburban I just purchased from a gentleman in California.

I would most appreciate if someone could shed some light on this subject i.e. GE creations or even would appreciate a lead on a center seat for my 48 suburban

you might try a PM to elhippie64, the member mentioned in the thread Tim linked, he makes the seat frames

Bill, could you tell me what to use for the springs for the top and bottom!

With work, you can convert a 1947/55 suburban front seat to a suburban center seat. The cushions are slightly different. The front seat can be found on craigslist and ebay.

Truck Daddy. I hope GE Creations isnt out of business! This company had been around for decades as a family run and operated. If you were a California resident you knew who these guys were. They specialized in stainless car trim repair and masters @re-fabrication. By word of mouth I found out they also they fabricated seats for burbs including the Deluxe Sergeant Stripes and front fender spears.

As my own build went, I found how difficult it was to locate seats for these burbs and had them build me a 3rd seat and visited thier facility. Pricey, but market availability and ones own desire drives our financial purchases. An exact re-repo as an original.

I used G.E this last year for a repair on a OEM fender spear. I hope they continue servicing and have not gone out of business.

gonzalo sr passed away i think about 2 years ago or so . his son took over the business. the shop was doing so well so he closed it.i hear he is doing work out of his house . i have a friend who deals with him alot , and i also see gonzalo jr at the pomona swap meet time to time. also there is a guy in wilmington ca remaking the suburban seats . a friend bought the middle and rear . the guy sells them for 250 each .
