Do you have an idea (approximation's fine)of the difference between the curve on the front vs. rear bumper? I have two fronts (bought truck years ago and it came with 'custom' bumper so trailer hitch could be attached), and am wondering if it would be very hard/possible to use one of the front ones on the back. Thanks.

You might want to also know the locations of the holes for the brackets?

Front one is curved way more than the back, which has nearly a
straight section in the center and just kicks in at the ends.
The curve on the front is uniform and has a chord of 9" in its 71" length.
The back has a chord of 4" in its 71" length and the straight section
is roughly 36" or half its length.

Front won't work good on the back.

Thx for taking the time to shoot & post the pics. I have wondered about this myself.

I wonder how many of us have installed a front bumper on the rear? That might explain why I had trouble mounting the rear bumper on my 53 3100! I just assumed the brackets were bent, so I made them fit. The curve of the bumper is to close to the license plate.

You would have had to do some fancy bending to get that accomplished Yakima. It's bad enough at times to get the
proper bumper to line up.

Further complicating the situation is that I can't find the different bumper brackets for the rear for my 1955.1 Chevrolet Panel truck. I can't find these unique brackets. Anyone have any ideas?

I had to build my own brackets for my rear bumper on my 1 ton AD. I used some flat bar, cut, welded and it turned out awesome.
