I am installing the side windows in my 1949 Chevy 3100. I purchased new aftermarket window regulators, after installing everything I find that both of my side windows roll up but seem to come around 3/4 of an inch shy of the height they are supposed to rise to. Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions?

How do they work?, hard to roll up down? These repop parts can present all kinds of problems. My first idea would be to "drill" new holes for the regulator and change the mounting postion so you get more lift, but will that keep the glass from going down far enough? You could check the regulator to see if there is a stop, maybe you'll have to "add" more teeth on the regulator arm? Hope this helps. Phil

Did you use new screws to hold the window frame to the regulator, if so the heads on the screws may be too big and are blocking the rollers in the track of the regulator. If I remember right, they should be counter sunk heads or very small.

I'm having the same issue, I'm using the same regulators as what came out of the door, when I got the truck the windows were rolled down though so I didn't notice it. Using the same stock screws, they aren't blocking the rollers, it's as if the crank ran out of turns, have you had any luck Jeff?
