this weekend I took a road trip in my 48 3/4 ton which has a chevy 250 with a rochester monojet carb, going down a dirt county road , truck runnin good then hit a cattle guard and soon there after the truck would stall and stutter like the choke was on, when I would rev it it would catch on and go and run ok at higher rpms but then at slower speeds just cough and sputter, finally it stopped in the middle of no where, not even a cell phone signal and would not start. I am not a mechanic but I have been reading the forums for a year, so I started trouble shooting the different systems, I thought the fuel pump was out, but really the vaccum advance line had just jiggled off , I put in back on and it ran great, so if this ever happens to you remeber to check the vaccum advance line, it really makes a difference,by the way could not have figured it out without having read the forums all year, thanks to all.
