I have a 49 1/2 ton that i have been working on for a while and must say it is coming along well thanks to dozens of questions i have asked youu guys (thanks). A friend of mine is sharing my garage with me and he is working on a 54 chevy car. Started to slip engine in today and motor mounts were way off. Engine is a 235, casting number is showing a 58-62 engine. Can someone tell me a good place to start to help him find motor mounts that will work with his 54 frame. I do not know of anyone making a conversion mount. You will most likely need to fab your own mount.

The 3769716 blocks do not have the side (bird leg type) bosses for the mounting. They were eliminated. I just went through this. I do not know if there are other side mounts that can be used. I do not know about other mounts just only about TF trucks.

It is the front side mount that can only be found on 1955-59 blocks.
He is mounting this engine in a 1954 car which uses center side mounts, they just use a different bolt pattern then the 1958-62 block but in the same spot.

You will need to remake or modify the part of your mount that bolts to the engine.
