Hello, has anyone installed the IFS Heidts Mustang II 2" Drop Spindles on an art deco truck, specifically 41, 42, 46? Will they fit? Did the front drop 2"?

Yes, I installed the Heidts system on my 41 half ton and it worked out very well. Here is a link to pics. http://s1191.beta.photobucket.com/user/MortgageLaw/library/1941%20Chevy%20Truck

We have all of the brake lines connected etc and did test it with wheels and are very happy with it

I used the TCI front end basically the same but not the 2 inch drop spindles. Unless you want the belly rubbing the ground I do not think you will need the 2" drop. The standard spindles will bring it down nicely.

How about just the spindles? Chevsofthe40s has the Mustang II Drop Spindles for $190 for the pair, it says "Uses all stock rotors, bearings, calipers, etc. making it easy to install" Chevsofthe40s

Has anyone just tried to install the spindles without the complete Heidts suspension system?

When they say it uses all stock rotors, bearings, calipers, etc., they are referring to the Mustang II pieces, as the truck already needs to be converted to Mustang II. There is no way they will fit your front end.

The best way to lower your stock front end is with a dropped axle or removing leafs.
