For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Aug 2006 Posts: 90 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Aug 2006 Posts: 90 | I live in Crowell (between Vernon & Paducah). I have a '54 3600 that does not run. It did run when I purchased it 7 years ago. However, a couple years ago my son used it for a few days and... Nuff said!!!
The truck has sat until now as I got busy renovating a building in town for a restaurant. The engine does attempt to turn over, just won't catch. I believe it will be a fairly simple fix (e.g., bad gass, carb adjustment).
That is where I am today. As much as I would like to play around and figure this out, the restaurant is now open and am working 16-17 hours days, six days a week and just don't have time.
So, does anyone live near Crowell, and if so would you be willing to help me out. Or lend a trailer so I can tow it to Vernon - a mechanic there said he is willing to take a look at it and see what he can do.
Thank you very much!

I'm supposed to go to Seymour in a couple of weeks to do some piano work there. If you haven't found someone, I could bring a few tools and come see about getting it running. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2002 Posts: 4,066 Bolter | | Bolter Joined: Oct 2002 Posts: 4,066 | about 45 miles

If he can't find someone, I wouldn't mind the extra few miles since I would be "in the area" anyway. | | | | | Joined: Aug 2006 Posts: 90 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Aug 2006 Posts: 90 | Roy, Thanks very much for the offer. You have no idea how much I appreciate it. And I'm sorry I have not responded sooner. Just so much going on right now that I don't get on the computer much.
Joker is correct - it's about 45 miles/minutes from Crowell.
Where do you live that makes you come all the way to Seymour?
Anyway, my days are usually pretty flexible (except around lunch & dinner time) so if you are still up for it just let me know when you will be in Seymour and we'll see what we can do. Also, what tools do you need? I do have some and might be able to save you the hassle of packing yours.

Pretty basic on tools. Flatblade and philips screw drivers. Pliers, test light. Very basic. Most of this I keep in the car just in case I need them some where.
PM me your phone number, and I'll call a few days before I head that way. Be just after the first of March.

That said I have some free time and would like to try to do some troubleshooting on my own until Roy is available.
Any suggestions on where I should look first?
Thanks for any help!!!
