My 36 High Cab Carryll was really made in '35 but is an early 36..we tried to connect the two wires from the wire loom to the master cyl for it'sbrake light. Well one of the two connectins seems to be just a brass hole..Can not connect 2nd.wire..or is this a Grond wire? Anyone know the answer? They sell big hex nut w/connections along with master cyl..but my master cyl was rebuilt..thanks a lot..mtVoices.

might be that the connection that's 'just a brass hole' has had the pin end broken off, or is meant to receive a pin type wire connector

I posted this on the Old GMC site a while ago.
Anyone needing to replace the brake light pressure switch that screws into the rear of the master cylinder, NAPA'a part number is SL113. Price is $17 and it is made in USA. There listing is for 1936 to 1946 GMC.
The master cylinder is the same for both Chevy and GMC
