So I already have a 37 GMC half ton that is a driver. But for some crazy reason I had to pull the trigger on this deal. $500 for almost the whole cab and front cowel and fenders hood, all the interior except the springs. I have those for the most part. Got a complete 37 chassis comming for $100!! Going to find a 270 or 302 and build something fun. Fast and fun!

Curious if anyone here know what the cans are on the firewall?? I'm guessing fire extinguisher? Seems kinda risky to have to reach in and grab one while the thing is on fire. Pictures below.

Even came with the original ignition and key. Also what looks to be a period correct cigarette lighter, and heater. And the windshield crank out works. Thats a 200 dollar part. Just as a piece of art the truck is worth what I paid.

The canisters on the firewall are kerosene road flares, they smoke for the day, and the flame makes you visible at night.
Great find Dan!

This truck has a complete original wiring harness. I think it's useable. The dash is still wired. The lighter is wired into the harness. Looks stock. The ellement is not broken also. I think it will work.

Last month I bought a complete drive train from a 1937 Chevy Half ton. ALL OF IT for 600 bucks. Then the dude through in a grille and cowel. It came with four matching brand new tires and hubcaps. Also a complete 216 and three speed transmission. If I had know this was on the horizon I would not have sold off the 216 parts, But I don't really ever want a 216. They just don't impress me. But Having a complete one ready to drop in would have been okay for starters. Anyway, I have the rear end and the entire front axel with brakes. I got all my money back on that deal, so I'm at about 400 bucks into a complete 37 truck. WoW!

It's still going to be hard not to put one of my 37 GMC cowel section on it and make another Jimmy!

But the Christmas cards will look even better with the cousins side by side.

Cool truck. My 46 ran when I bought it. As I am restoring it I will tell you the wire insulation was really bad. These early trucks were not fused so its likely you could develop a short. If you want modern wiring with cloth checkout Road Island Wire RIwire?

I don't think I would really use the harness, But I'll bet I could sell it to someone that would!!!!
