So I've got the 17" split rims in front on my 1 ton. I want to put a set of radials on it as well as the original hubcaps and possibly some beauty rings. Do you guys know what steel wheels would fit on the front of this truck and still take the hub caps? I don't think I'd mind going to 16", but maybe you guys know something I don't about putting them on the 1 ton. 3/4 ton, 8 lug wheels fit?
I've been reading about these split rims. I've read both opinions that they're dangerous, but if handled right, absolutely fine. I'm going to sandblast all 6 wheels and paint them, but I wanted to see if you guys knew of an easier option than dealing with the split rims first.
The rears are the big 19.5 dually wheels. I'm just going to stay with them, paint them and put new tires on them. They're tubeless, and I got some good used radials for them.
