| | THANKS!
For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 47 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 47 | i started an inquiry about this a few months ago but the forum was shifting servers or something and my thread got lost.
in the 40+ years i have owned this truck i have replaced, rebuilt and done every thing i could think of to keep the original model carb. but i have given up on the leakchester, its a wonder i have not had an under hood fire.
its time to go to a carter yf if i want to be able to safely and economically truck my sub.
the lost thread had gotten to a discussion of which model yf i needed , i think yf #4371s was mentioned but someone thought differently.
also does anyone know if the original metal fuel line will mate to the yf?
has anybody done this switch?
i love my dog's 1965 suburban.
