I need a diagram because I'm using the ChevyDuty harness for 6 the volt system. Is there an easier way to do this?

10 ga wire from BAT on alt to + on ammeter. 14 ga wire from R on alt to 2 on regulator. 14 ga wire from F on alt to F on regulator. 10 ga wire from GRD on alt to chassis ground.
Connect terminals 3 and 4 on regulator together and run 14 ga wire to ignition.

Field to #1(F) post. Ignition (+)side to #2 post. BAT to starter then junctioned to BAT to Ampeter (+) side to #3 post. Grd to terminal block on fender.
NOW!!!! Should I pigtail R post to BAT terminal?
Gauge reads 1/2 way between 0 & C running. Sound right???

I scanned a diagram for you. Compare it to what you have. Wiring Diagram - Old Style Alternator Let us know what happens!
