I am told that the cab on these 2 ton trucks is pretty narrow and therefore hard to fit interior seating. I want to do a 60/40 bucket with fold down console or individual buckets and build my own console. Anyone got any experience with this as to what fits and what don't.

I would take some good measurements and then go to your local salvage yard or u-pull-it and measure some seats. I've heard several people using minivan bench seats in these. I'm sure a 60/40 out of a Tahoe or something would be too wide, but 2 buckets and a custom made console would probably be best. Look under the interior section and get some good ideas.

My '42 has a 3rd row from a late 90s early 00's that fits very well, and is extremely comfy too.

I installed bucket seats out of a mid 80 Ford Econoline cargo van. There are a couple different versions so look for the low back version. They are a perfect fit and look fairly period correct.

My '39 used to have a 3rd row seat out of a '92 Suburban. It fit in there very nice right on top of the gas tank, but it was mounted a little too low. I found a set of original seat springs and had them recovered and am very happy with those.
