I just recently bought a 3/4 ton thriftmaster (1948). It has been converted to 12v in the past. However, it never had turn signals added. I want to add turn signals to it using the front parking lamps and rear brake lights. I was going to get the 7-wire bolt on turn signal assesory for one of the various parts suppliers, but wanted to see what other parts I may need. Do I need to convert the bulbs and/or sockets? How do I tell? Do these add-on switches also have 4-way flashers?
thanks for any help or direction on this one.
Aaron

hi tank i just the signal light and dual tail lights on my 56 stepside.i do beleive the 3 prong flasher is what gives you signal lights and 4way. iwill know tonight as i just have to hook up flasher and try everything. you will need a flasher and plug, as the clamp on switch does not come with these items.you will have to do the dual element socket for the lights as well.hope this helps some smile
