| | | | Joined: Mar 2011 Posts: 229 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Mar 2011 Posts: 229 | bought a new used rockwell(delta) band saw for the shop. got a good deal at 150.00 with three new blades. came from a high school shop that was downsizing and getting some new equipment. its a 1969 model better than new as far as i am concerned. just glad i found it been looking for awhile now. now i am looking for a english wheel and planishing hammer. then maybe a shrinker stretcher after that.

A good source for old wood working and now metal working machinery is owwm.org.
You will be happy with it for many years to come.

I've got a table saw, a bandsaw, and a jointer now- - - -just looking for a good spot in the shop to set them all up! The bandsaw is going to get a jackshaft to slow the speed down, and get a metal-cutting blade installed on it. I've already got a 2-speed wood-cutting bandsaw, so this one's going to be for metalwork only. Thanks!
