Well I've done a lot of searching and found no answers yet. Got a chance to get a clark 5 speed to Put in my '50 3800. Looks like it came with no provision for speedometer drive. (The trans looks like it came from WWII deuce & a half where the speedo drive came from the transfer case ) Appears the 200-207 V & VO made from 1941-56 are all very similar and maybe the tail shaft bearing housing from another trans with speedo drive could be swapped in? Anyone have any clark parts or know a source for them? Anybody done this? Thanks in advance for any answers.

The Clarks of that era are all very similar. Hollander of the era lists what is interchangeable on civilian, but does not list military. But Clark did not change more than they had to to meet the military's specs. I would guess that a civilian back section would fit, but its not going to be that easy to find a similar Clark. If you find the back section, you will probably have to buy the whole transmission. If a speedo is that important to you, I would be cautious in the matter. If you can get into it for scrap iron price, it would be worth trying. But I would be hesitant to pay much for it with planning on getting a speedo to work. For me personally it would be fine because I don't care if a speedo works or not.

Thanks for your reply. The trans is in fine shape & I think you're right about civilian parts interchanging. I also agree that finding one might prove difficult. May just have to pass on it.

There are electronic speedometers you could sue to get around the problem. Some use GPS, nothing at all to hook up except power. Have a look at some modern/aftermarket/hot rod gauges.
