So I found a local shop (one person) that does quality work.

Time frame, drop off November 1st, pick up by March 1st (or sooner)..

Cost, $6000 including materials. Includes totally striping old paint, base coat-clear coat, including interior and exterior.

New bed sheet metal, wood kit, cross members, etc. Truck is very straight.

So my question is color choice options. I am considering two tone white with place (or gray) fenders, running board and front grill. White interior (or grey)...

Here's a few 'current' pics and and idea of what I am after.

Any ideas, thoughts or suggestions appreciated.

yes, it will have all new glass and I will rebuild the gauges. I will also have the seat re-covered and the headliner redone and new door panels.

yes, the mechanical stuff is all working and at a good driver place now.

two tone idea (thanks to who's truck this is)

I've noticed a lot of trucks are dividing the color the length of the truck along the cab window line and extending along the hood, so that the hood has an upper and lower contrast. Admittedly it appears mostly on modified trucks, but it is a nice look, at least to me.

Went with one color on our 53 truck, but thinking of going two tone on our 52 chevy styleline coupe that we are working on. I guess it is a matter of choice, but it still is a hard decision that you have to make!!!!!

I am at a similar point, although I am going to use 1 color as original, I am also reinstalling the 6 with only modification being an alternator....put some photos on when you finish and good luck!!!

I like the first two tone picture.
I'm doing my '54 similar, cream with black fenders and running boards. I'm a lot "old school".
Do you ever make it to the Portland Swap Meet? I'm going to go this spring. I hear it is great.

I like the one color paint and close to original as possible, unless you are going to rod it. I also like the original interior color over painting it the same as the outside. Just my two cents.
