So where might I find replacement parts for the rubber and metal bushings between the shifter linkage rods and the tranny shift levers? I've checked LMC, asked of American Classics, and had a NAPA owner search for me...and nada!

yer looking for something that isn't available, they were originally some rubberized plastic .... look for something that'll do the same job - check the Help! rack, #38374 bronze door hinge bushings, ream as necessary, last forever with an occasional dab of oil when you lube the truck

I've fabricated those bushings with a piece of oilite bronze and a lathe- - -just a couple of diameter cuts, a drill bit the right size, and a cutoff tool. It takes about 10 miutes per bushing once you get the dimensions right.
