I've determined that my gas gauge is fried. The coil on the power side of the gauge is dis-colored. The enamel is burned off, probably due to running 12V to the gauge without a reducer. I would like to purchase a new one but haven't seen one in any of my catalogs. Can anyone help me with a recommendation on where I can buy one?
Thanks!

dierks321,

Click the red, flashing advertisement at the top center of this page. American Classic Truck Parts has reconditioned gauges and will take yours in exchange (if it is rebuildable).

Thanks for the advice. Being a novice I don't know how I could do a rebuild like this without everyone's input. Thanks for the help..

Hey there, if you buy a new guage, get a 12V guage or get a reducer. Otherwise you will be buying another guage soon. Good luck!
