i recently replaced the ignition coil that went bad on my 55 1st 235 6 volt. got the new coil from napa. anybody know where i can purchase an original delco remy 6 volt coil number 1115380?

i called chevs of the 40s. they no longer have the nos coil and will not be getting any more in.

I Googled "6 volt coil 1115380." Found three for sale right now on ebay. Also found one at Auto Parts Obsolete, plus some other references and substitutes.

my old delco coil spells out on the coil 1115380 and below that 6-v. anybody know why the coils listed on ebay and auto parts obsolete only shows on the coil 380 instead of 1115380? thanks again for all the input.

likely because the very last runs of coils Delco made [or had made wink ] were marked that way
