The little green light stays on after I turn off the key. For now I have been pulling off the battery cable so the battery does not drain down. Anybody know what the problem may be?
Thanks,
Mark

Find the power wire ( usually red, but could be any color ) with a test light or meter. Trace it from that switch and see where it goes. It must be hooked to something that is powered all the time. Change it so that it is only powered when the key is in the on position..
Some directional switches have the brake light switch wire running through them. If that is the case, are your brake lights sticking on also ??
A few minutes spent investigating with a test light will solve the trouble..

I didn't think it was a good idea to wire the turn signals to the key switch because if I need to leave the truck by the side of the road with the emergency flashers on, I don't want to have to leave the key in the ignition! I isolated the switch unit from the column with some rubber and re-wired the unit so the indicator bulb would only come on when the lights were flashing. A whole lot easier fix that Larry Kephart came up with is to just use the #550 flasher made for Alfa Romeo, Austin, BMW, Fiat, Jaquar, Mercedes-Benz, MG, Peugeot, Porsche, Renault, Rolls-Royce, Triumph and Yugo. I understand that does the trick.
