I posted this @ Panels n burbs, but maybe this is more appropriate place for answer. Any ideas on 3 point seat belts for 49 panel delivery with aftermarket bucket seats? Type of belt clasp, attachment locations, etc. ?
May have this thing on the road before winter...lol

Best to post only once, but I also used seatbelts from a '91 Chevy truck. I measured the height of the shoulder strap anchor from a newer full size van.

I would just bite the bullet and get the Juliano's setup if I was doing 3-point belts.

If you end up making your own backing plate with captured nut make sure you round all of the edges that go against the sheet metal. This helps prevent the plate from ripping through the steel metal in a accident, you want it to pull and bend but not tear free.

Juliano's plates are all beveled if you want to see what I'm talking about.

Juliano's looks the way to go. I drove this truck for several years as a daily driver in Atl. without belts. No turn signals, no power steering, vacuum wipers...but a great sound syst and A/C...lol
Many thanks to all.

I installed Juliano's 3-point with the 3rd person lap belt in my 1957 Fire Truck 45 minutes start to finish.

To get the nut in place for the shoulder point I taped the nut/washer to a piece of 1/4" rod like a lolly pop and held it in place while I installed the bolt from the front, when done I pulled the rod out. If I ever remove the bolt the nut will just fall out and I'll do the process again to put it back in.

Thanks Mike. This solves a prob. My truck is insulated with foam and I can just gouge a path down to the drilled hole and then use the rod/tape trick. The bottom bolts I will just foam over w a spray can and seal it up.
