For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Feb 2012 Posts: 60 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2012 Posts: 60 | Just dropped the tranny from my '51, 3spd on column, with torque tube. Engine is a '50 216. I will swap to a T5 but am curious as to what i have. The link below takes you to my pics - first 4. When looking at the casting code it looks to me like a "581615" but I cannot find that code. I find a "5 9 1615" which is a HD 3 speed. The H239 manuf code is also hard to find as i think it should have 2 letters followed by the manuf date. I have not taken the bellhousing down yet. Any insights? http://s848.photobucket.com/albums/ab41/malibu67/1951%20Chevy%20Truck/Thanks
