For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jun 2012 Posts: 15 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jun 2012 Posts: 15 | One of my coil springs has the middle-age droop. Anybody know the rating or how to determine the rating or who to contact to help? I understand GM put a coded tag on each spring & the rating could be deciphered from that, but no such tag on my springs. The truck was converted to an ambulance when new. I'd like to know if it has an alternator or generator. Tag says 1117765-3E31. I am presuming we have different engines. I have the base 230 in mine. I will try to get pics before we go on holiday. Mine is the 1/2 ton short panel if yours is the same I can look at the coil springs . Is your droopy one front or back? | | |
