I have seen some pics of early dually panels, but not sure if they were factory built, or built by a body supplier, (which was common practice.) I know 1940 standard fenders are only available in 'glass, so doubt you will find new steel fenders at all. If you do, find a expert TIG welder to fab a set for you.
And, welcome to the forum, and please don't use BOLD type!

I don't know about these either, but they will be extremely scarce. | | | | Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 242 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 242 | I have a 1942 dually panel truck the fenders will work from 1937 to early 1947. Have had a pair of very rough ones I sold but you can find new single wheel ones one Ebay from time to time and have them widened. I have had my truck for 6 years and have never seen another set good or bad any were. Hope this helps if you have any questions call me. 1-262-392-2989

The narrow fenders can be used as repair skins, for the wider fender, if the wider fenders are not too badly damaged. | | | | Joined: Nov 2009 Posts: 20 Wrench Fetcher | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Nov 2009 Posts: 20 | I've got a rough pair of '36 ('34-'36) 1.5 ton rear fenders. | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,262 Bubba - Curmudgeon | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,262 | I am being tolerant with the personal parts-wanted and parts-for-sale in this thread. My hopes are that someone will post a photo of the wider dually fender. If no general interest information gets posted here, I'll eventualy delete personal-sales posts in this thread.

I know that you can get a fiberglass rear fender for a pickup truck that is WIDER than normal so folks can wider tires. Joe Hand has a set on his pickup. Would...could...these be made to work on yours???

As Marv said above, the wide rear fenders should be the same from '37-'46. | | | | Joined: Mar 2011 Posts: 457 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Mar 2011 Posts: 457 | Even though the bed width is different?

Jim Carter owns a 1946 Chevrolet 1 1/2 ton dual rear wheel pickup. It can be seen in the "working trucks" section of his website. Ernest Holmes model 490, 515,& 525 medium duty Wreckers used the wider dual wheel fenders on their wrecker service bodies. They also used narrow single rear wheel fenders on the larger wider service bodies of the Heavy Duty W35, & W45 wrecker service bodies. I've seen the wider fenders used several times on these "W" model wreckers with over half of the fender under the body. Holmes used these fenders up until 1956, when the more modern platform style service body was introduced. Check out my webshots album of "Spankys Antique Wreckers" for examples of both style fenders. link below. | | | | Joined: Feb 2003 Posts: 1,339 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2003 Posts: 1,339 | I would like to see some pics of a dual wheeled 37 or 38 panel since I dont think it is listed in any of the 37 info I have,I have seen a 47 to 53 dually panel but nothing earlier. | | |
