Only the gas gauge. Will need a voltage reducer if it has 6v clock. Recent discussion on 6v clocks and voltage reducers on VCCA site.

Another opinion, virtually the same truck.

Good point, Gus. I only answered re: gauges.

Here are the instrument bulbs that I use in my '54 that has been converted to 12v. You will also need 12v head lights, tail lights, dome light, etc.

If still have some 6v bulbs that you haven't switched to 12v, or if you are not sure if the 12v bulb is correct, look up the correct 6v bulb in the '54 Truck Owners Manual, enter the 6v bulb number in the window by the brown "bulb search" box at the top of the page in the Dons Bulbs link below then click "bulb search". Choose "AC/Delco" as the bulb when the "too many bulbs" page window pops up. The page will show the equivalent 12v bulb with the same size base, glass, and light output. Scroll down and it will show the applications.
Dons Bulbs

I replaced my 6v heater motor with a 12v heater motor from a '60 Impala. Other 'Bolters have used 12v motors from FLAPS.

I do have a heater but I'm not sure of it's functionality. It's hose inputs and outputs are currently looped back into each other.

The heater is a harder one to drop the voltage on because the dropping device needs to give off a lot of heat. For a resistor setup for the heater you would want a 1 ohm rated at 50 watts.
