Will my 250 fit with my radiator in the stock location ( 3800 JS code), or will i have to move it to the front side of the core supportand just bolt it in from the front side. My measurement says it will be close.
Thanks ahead of time

what's "close"? the fan should be no more than about 1/2" or you'll need a shroud

Couldn't get a fan on my 250 in a 3100, so I put a "new" junkyard electric fan on the front of the radiator. With the water pump pulley and no fan blade there is about a 1/2" between the radiator and pulley. I am using the stock trans and rearend-FYI

I put a 292(same length as a 250) in a 40 pass a few years back without moving the radiator. There are at least three lengths of water pumps I found that will bolt up to that engine. I used the shortest one I could find along with a flat faced flex fan.

Is there a chance that I could press the shaft deeper in the impeller( I did that on a small block when I put it in a 34 ford), and cut off the excess?
