on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 693 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 693 | i was wondering if there is supposed to be a gasket where the top of the fender meets the cab, ahead of the door and before hood? see area circled in red below: fender to cab the rubber sets available don't include a gasket here, however i looked at a 55.2 and there was some sort of seal here. another 'bolter is going to look at his truck for me as well. thanks | | | | | Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 693 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 693 | thanks Darren, i have that gasket - it runs vertically along the fender reinforcement on the backside where it meets the cab. I am wondering about that short horizontal section 8-10" across at the very top of the fender at the cowl. | | | | | Joined: Jun 2011 Posts: 1,901 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jun 2011 Posts: 1,901 | Yes there is a 1/8 thick gasket glued on there and it came in my set when I ordered it. LMC or cassic I forget what came from where. Any thin strip would do. It keeps the two surfaces from rubbing. 30 lb felt even.
