When I bought my 50 3800, it clearly had its share of dings and loose body parts.
When I pulled the engine to install the new 261 I vowed to fix some of the issues.
So far they've been pretty self explaining.
UNTIL NOW ohwell
I know the drivers side took a hard hit once upon a time, and I can't straighten it all out now but icantget this inner fender to line up no matter what I do. When I bought it, the fender wasn't attached to the cab at all.
Could this be the wrong inner fender?

Any insight would be helpful!

Thanks,

On my 3100 the drivers inner fender bolts to the parking brake bracket. Not the firewall itself

This may not be the case for your 3800 but it's something you can look at anyway

You have quite a gap on the floor board / inner kick panel. If your not going to repair it at this time you may want to consider a sealer to prevent further rust.

Thanks!
That's a big help.
I've been trying to figure out why the bolt holes are completely different between the firewall and the inner fender.
Now I need one of those brackets...

What part of Nevada are you in? I'm going to be driving from here to Denver via US 50 I think in a couple weeks.

Most vendors carry the bracket

Look around for the best price, or parts wanted section for an original might be better.

Might ask in the big bolt forum to make sure the 3800 mounts the same as the 3100.

To bad your trip is not next month, you could hit hot August nights on the way

If you are not going to put a parking brake on the truck, then you can have my old one. Couldn't use it because I wanted a brake and that part is rusted out....more than enough there to bolt the inner on though.....PM me and shoot me a check for shipping would think 5 or 6 bucks would cover it.

PM's sent to both lostmy47 and 54barnfind on this matter.
