For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2011 Posts: 32 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Sep 2011 Posts: 32 | Hi Everyone.
I just connected with a guy who has some COE doors. He said they didn't have hinges on them but he would look around and see if he could 'round up a set'.
My concern is I know COE hinges are different than regular truck hinges and I am afraid he may 'find' some of the wrong hinges and I won't know the difference.
Anyone here know any identifying characteristics I can look for to determine if they are the right hinges?
Perhaps visual differences, different dimensions, or pictures.
Any help could save me wasting time & money.

My primary need are the hinges. I will buy the doors regardless, but I was hoping to also get the hinges.
I will search for Part Numbers and perhaps use these to guide me.
I also just realized I didn't list the year of my truck: I'm searching for Advanced Design (Late 1947 - early 55) COE hinges.

Here is the truck hinge section. COE-cab and regular cab hinges are different. The COE-specific parts are so rare, if you have patience, you will sell the parts you do not need at a price that will pay for the entire door/hinge assembly. | | | | | Joined: Dec 2002 Posts: 2,548 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2002 Posts: 2,548 | The upper COE hinge is external. The lower COE hinge flange is "L" shaped. | | |
