My dad retired from farming last summer and my older brother bought the farm from him. This was the one thing he didn't want. It's a '69 C60 grain truck.I learned how to drive in this ol girl many years back and spent countless hours in it during harvest. So when I was asked if I wanted it awhile back I jumped at the offer. Finally got it home last night.Only real problem is it won't always start.Hook the jumper cables to her and she turns right over.Think it may have a short.Anyhow I plan on slowly restoring it.It has a BB 366 and air brakes/air horns. The bed is in really rough shape. It hasn't been used for anything other than haulin trash an occasional load of rock since they bought semis 10+ years ago.Anyhow on to the pics.

If it starts easily with jumper cables I would guess you either have a bad battery or poor connection to the battery. If you were having the same problem with the jumper cables then I would look elsewhere.

That is a nice looking truck. I'm glad you were able to get the family truck.

Thats a nice one. I saw literally hundreds of them during the harvest when I was buying grain at country elevators to go to feed lots. It was a few years before than that, but quite often pretty young farmers daughters drove the field trucks because the boys had to stay with the machine. Lots of them were driven by kids with no license, but no one cared. By 69 I had already met my wife, but that didn't stop me from looking.

I had what was refered to as a "farmer's permit" to drive when I was 13 or 14.Been too many years back.Anyhow it allowed for driving the trucks to the elevators.I had an older brother that ran the combine that dad didn't so I got stuck driving trucks.
