After a two hour bath with a oxyclean solution, she cleaned right up:) Here are some pictures of a 55 Chevy NAPCO, 57 Chevy 4x4 on a blazer frame, and my truck at a local car show last Sunday(Newcastle, Ca)... It is unbeleavable how quickly the chassis gets dirty. Mine was pristine but 3,000 miles later it looks like it needs a repaint and a serious steam cleaning. Oh, well, I just keep telling myself it is only clean once.
Didn't Omar restore that blue one?
Do you know what is involved in dropping a 55-57 on a blazer frame? Did they have to shorten the front axle or does it really sit that nicely in the fenders? There is a pearl to it so the color of blue changes at different angles. It is very nice. I spoke to the owner of the black 57 Chevy and he said the body to frame took minimal modification. He did have to shorten the front axle (nice catch). we are heading up to Auburn, CA tonight for a car and truck show (300 vehicles expected). Should be a couple of NAPCO's there.
